SUNNYMEADE BAPTIST CHURCH!

Our church is centered around relationships. Relationships with our family, relationships with our friends, and ulitmately our relationship with Jesus. We will try to convince you on the fact that a life walking with Jesus is the best life there is to live. Jesus didn't come just to remove the sting of death or give us victory over hell. He came so that we could have an intimate relationship with Him that transforms our marriages, careers, friendships, relationships and anything else that life throws our way. So please have a look around and feel free to step inside our church any time!

OUR MISSION

Share the Gospel! Our goal is to help people find and grow in a relationship with Jesus.  The Bible says that God loved us so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins. He did this so that we could have a relationship with God through our Saviour and Lord Jesus!

OUR VISION

The church is not a building, but rather a body of believers. Our vision is to help our local community of believers grow according to the Word of God. We believe that God places people in their local church to participate in the work of the ministry.

OUR VALUES

Our greatest value is the the Holy Bible. It is upon that Word of God that we establish all of our values as believers. Everyone has fallen short of the glory of God. We believe that the way to grow spiritually is to recognize our sinful state, surrender our life to Jesus, and grow according to the Word of God.

OUR PASTOR

Pastor Roger Ouverson and his wife Terri have been leading Sunnymeade Baptist Church since 2000. Our Pastor cares deeply for his flock and seeing them grow spiritually in their life. He strongly believes in the divine inspiration of scripture. He takes careful consideration of what he the Spirit leads him to preach and tries to reveal the Word of God in way that feels like God is personally speaking to you.

CHANGING LIVES

Arriving in Oklahoma 39 years ago God  directed our path towards Sunnymeade Baptist Church. It has been a place where we raised our children. The congregation has been like family in all of life’s journey!. The spiritual education and discipleship training have prepared us for many life challenges. The obedience of the leadership seeking and teaching truth has had a big imprint molding my life and purpose in walking with God. I’m am grateful for Gods unfailing love and the Holy Spirits direction these past years and for continued days ahead.

God’s Word has endured through the ages, it is as relevant today as it was in Josiah’s day or Isaiah’s day. There’s nothing new under the sun.

This is what our powerful little church on the corner of Britton and Sunnymeade teaches. We grow in the scriptures and our relationship with Christ in order to disciple and teach others. We would love to share His Word with you.
